You have become very precious to me. So many times you have comforted and calmed me down.
With you, I can be weak and vulnerable, and that is a lot in life.
I used to spend a lot of time with you, but not this year.
I love watching your beauty when I do raking. And I love listening to you when you speak on treetops while I’m splitting firewood.
Way too seldom we had those shared moments this year.
Have I told you that there’s a correlation between my mood and time spent with you?
With warmth, I’ve looked back on our meeting in autumn.
I’m grateful for that afternoon but sad that we got a chance for it only once. Once!
I miss you.
Next year I want to spend more time with you.
I want to get to know you better.
Hear your thoughts. Feel you on my skin. Have deep conversations together.
I want to take care of you.
And let you do the same to me.
I want you more in 2018.
Cause when I’m with you I feel happy and accepted.
(This cross-country skiing trip and the blue moment in the snowy forest this week was special to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share it with you.)

Thinking about New Year’s Resolution? Consider spending more time in nature next year.
“Even a short time spent outdoors helps. Five minutes spent outdoors improves your mood, and in 15–20 minutes vitality increases and blood pressure drops. It has also been estimated, that spending at least five hours a month in urban green spaces, or visiting nature sites outside the city two or three times a month, significantly improves your mental wellbeing.”
