365 Ways To Wellbeing – 191st Way

Forests are all different. They’re young, old, dark, bright, dense, open. They may be coniferous or deciduous, jungle or just bushes. Vast majority of forests are just, well, forests. But there are some jewels among them. Some forests that feel or look somehow different. They are beautiful on their own terms.  As if they were born to be that way.  We visited one of these forests this day.

It was very old curly birch forest (rare species of birch that grows very slowly and in a “curly” manner bending and twisting as it grows). The forest looked so beautiful!  It was almost from a fairy tale. Sunlight filtered through the canopy and made meadow vetchling and cow parsley shadows dance on the ground. Bees buzzing around the flowers, birds chirping their endless concert and those old curly birches bending if as their were listening us. It was a magical forest full of light and joy.

As the saying goes, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are endless amount of forests that can be special to those who take the trouble of visiting them. So go and search one for yourself. You’ll be surprised how good it’s for your wellbeing.
